ABOUT THE ARTIST
“My name is Jerome Waterman. Beaver clan of the Onondaga Nation in the Six Nation confederacy. I started crafting at age 10 helping my mother do beadwork. I am an Marine Corp Veteran . After my tour of duty I started carving antler and wood . A few years after that I started carving bone . Then soap stone . I started incorporating wampum into my jewelry. After 5 years I started carving my own wampum. I did my research on carving wampum. Started investing in the tools to carve wampum. After a year and a half , I am ready to up grade my tools . I have truly enjoyed doing my work and to this day I still enjoy making my creations. Thank you for your time.” – Jerome
