Meet The Artists
Meet the artists featured in the second edition of the 2027 On Native Land calendar. Representing diverse Indigenous communities, each artist brings a unique perspective, creative voice, and lived experience to this collective work. Through their artwork and personal reflections, they share what On Native Land means to them, whether it is a connection to ancestors, culture, language, community, stewardship, identity, or belonging. Together, these stories invite us to reflect on the deep relationships Indigenous Peoples have with the lands they have cared for since time immemorial. We hope their insights inspire meaningful learning, understanding, and appreciation for the histories, cultures, and enduring presence of Indigenous communities across Turtle Island.

Trish Corcoran, Tonawanda Onondowaga Bear Clan, teaches Indigenous and Environmental Studies at the Harley School, leads and serves in several Indigenous community initiatives, and is a proud mother of two.
Rosa Vargas
Ayiti (Haiti) , Magua Caciquat Clan

Rosa Vargas weaves Afro-Caribbean and Indigenous roots with immigrant experiences into her art. From fashion designer to painter and multimedia artist, her work reflects her circle of life.
Ayanna I. Proctor
Piscataway, Turtle Clan & Susquehannock Descendant

Ayanna I. Proctor, an enrolled citizen of the Piscataway Nation, Turtle Clan, and Susquehannock descendant, is a quillwork artist, illustrator, and pre-contact living historian practicing ancestral skills
Jennifer Dalimonte
Tuscarora, Beaver Clan

Jennifer works in law enforcement and is a self-taught painter inspired by family artists. Her acrylic stippling reflects beadwork, ancestry, and experience shaped by travel and creativity from youth.
Paola Macas Betchart
Indigenous Runa from the Andes

Paola Macas Betchart is a queer Indigenous Andean artist, educator, and anthropologist blending photography, fiber arts, and ancestral storytelling to explore trauma, healing, and land regeneration.
Beth Anderson
Cherokee

A Cherokee Nation citizen, Beth Anderson’s work is influenced by culture, love of materials, and her relationship with nature. Her focus is in small metals, illustration, glass, and beadwork.
Angelina Marie Hilton
Sac and Fox Nation of Missouri in Kansas and Nebraska, Sturgeon Clan | Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska Descendant, Buffalo Clan

Since childhood, Angelina traveled to the res to visit family. Her Grandma’s photo albums and notes sparked a love of storytelling. She now documents life to preserve history for future generations.
