ABOUT THE ARTIST

Shquanebin Lone is Tonawanda Seneca, Hawk Clan, and a mother of 6. She began sewing when she was 9 years old and the first thing she made is still being worn today. As an award winning artist she has pieces in various museums such as the Smithsonian and has her garments worn all over the world. She has been featured in a few different fashion shows with focus on inclusivity, durability, and creativity with a style all her own. Most of her work has been heavily influenced by her Haudenosaunee culture, life experiences, and need for adequate wearable representation with pockets.
